What Eugene says in this clip

In the second clip from the Cedar Corners site in Congers, Eugene says town officials have not spoken out against the warehouse application and that their silence amounts to approval. He points to campaign contributions from the developer and related parties to the current supervisor, and to the tax break from the Rockland County Industrial Development Agency, money he says could have gone toward Clarkstown residents’ property taxes, in exchange for jobs he does not expect to be permanent.

He asks residents of every party to speak out against overdevelopment in Congers, New City, Valley Cottage, West Nyack, and Nanuet, because the combined effect of those projects will fall on quality of life, property values, and the town’s suburban character.
